There is a lot of hype around techno optimism, but the techno optimist manifesto did not have a single mention of crypto or block chains. Everyone reading this is a member of the crypto community. Everyone reading this has a Ethereum wallet. I have been writing a long form manifesto. This is the short one.
The summary is that people who build crypto need to believe, and state that their values are one of crypto optimism. That means we believe that the future is going to be built around crypto principles, which are enshrined as self custodial and privacy centric. We believe in the power of markets, and we believe that humans should have access to both markets to crypto and to the Internet. People are facing gel time for code (tornado cash) Thus free speech is also a crypto optimist value that is being attacked as we speak. We need to truly believe that what we are building will make the world a better place. I truly do. I also believe that every single business in the world will eventually be operating on the block chain. we need to go back to the principles of why we are in the crypto ecosystem in the first place. The risk here is not only our monetary gains, but also the freedom of our future and the future of freedom itself not only for us, but also the rest of humanity. We need to become crypto optimists.
